We all have our beliefs in what exactly success is, and we all (at least I would hope) work hard to get there. I know some of you reading this may think "Alisha, I feel lost in my direction of success." If that is how your thoughts are developing, then this is a post worth reading. If you are not thinking that way, then this is a post worth reading. Let's begin
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths" Proverbs 3 5-6. Let me start by asking you this, "How do you start your day each day?" Do you just get up, brush your teeth and get ready for work? Do you get up in a panic because your late, rush to get ready and grab whatever is easy to eat, and head out the door?
Now, let me ask you this, "How do you chose to worship?" Is it while in the shower? Is it as you drive to work in your car? Is it while you are going to the bathroom? This answer has no right answer. However, the wrong answer is "Alisha, I don't have time to worship other than Sunday's." This is because that is simply not ENOUGH worshiping. Here is where I may turn some people off, and that is okay! I want people to keep reading because they are craving success, craving happiness, craving direction!
I've always craved success, I was born to be successful; conceded? No, I'm confident in our Father that He designed me for something BIG! I truly believe that BECAUSE I worship each day in the morning, mid morning, before I eat, while outside and see something beautiful in nature, when someone does something incredible, when something is scary and misunderstood, and before bed. During these moments in each day, I've grown over time WITH Him, not against Him. When you grow personally WITH our Father, He trusts you with success, and knows you will appreciate it and give praise BACK to Him.
So today, each moment you see there is time (1 minute, 5 minutes or less), just start talking to God. Tell Him what's on your mind, what you desire, what you are scared of, what you are thankful for. He just wants to get to know you, the real you. This may take time, depending on how vulnerable you are with Him. But I promise, you open up to Him, let Him get to know you, and you WILL grow in your success!
